Osea is a tidal island- the tide times change every day but we have advance knowledge of these times

Osea is a tidal Island and is accessible via a mile long road for a 4 hour period every 12 hours. Outside of these times access is via boat (a pre-booked river taxi which takes 8 minutes) costs in the region of £40.00 per trip and takes up to 6 people, or helicopter (London/ Battersea Heliport, 20 mins). 

Arrival and departure times on the island are dependent on the low tide times which allow access by car.  For all guests booked with us these times will be given to you prior to your stay with us by email. Please contact Osea direct if you do not receive the tide chart before your arrival on 07729456912 and we can then assist you with your arrival and departure times. 

Vehicles are left at the car park on the island which is within walking distance of the accomodation with guests walking or cycling around the Island.

By Train: The nearest staion is Witham Station , the train departs from liverpool Street ( around 44 minutes) to Witham.  Once here catch a taxi from the taxi  rank directly outside the station to Osea takes around 20 minutes so please ensure you leave enough time to still cross the tidal road - please be aware not all taxi's will drive onto the island , we have a list of taxis who will and it is reccomended  to pre-book your jouney in advance.

Driving to Osea: Once you have booked we send you driving directions please do not use the osea island postal code for your sat nav, as this may send you to the wrong side of the island which has no tidal road access. The best  post code to use is the Osea island leaisure park as this is the last point on the mainland before you cross the tidal road - this is CM9 4SA.
